For The Moon

I was commissioned by the fabulous and incredibly talented Irish musician Jamie Duffy. As part of his team’s promotion at Rubyworks for his upcoming album at the time, they decided to create a unique collectible: A little tarot card.

What began as small sketches gradually evolved into a gentle, mystical piece. I wanted to reflect the softness of Jamie’s piano music, so I illustrated a serene nightscape to match its tone and gave a sort of float-y vibe to his dog to complete that feel.

Jamie’s home in County Monaghan is quite close to Castle Leslie, so we included that reference in the background.

I’m delighted with how it all came together.
